Eve Merton Charity Legends Football

Yesterday I had the please of supplying the pre-game and half-time music for the Eve Merton Dreams Trust Charity football match.

Firstly I have to say what a good job the Trust did - special mentions to founders Martin Lawrence & Clynt Johnson as well as Glynn Harrison who all put in a lot of time and effort - all which paid off!

The Legends team prevailed over the 80 minute game and won 11-5, in a game which included a great hat-trick from ex-Doncaster player Bruce Dyer, a special mention about one of the goals which included 5 or 6 touches without the ball touching the ground finished off by a Dyer volley.

Man of the match for the Legends was Lee Hendrie, who played the entire game and never once seemed short on time on the ball, he also got on the score sheet a few times as well as supplying a couple of assists.

The crowd also got to see other ex-pros such as David May, Jason McAteer, Don Hutchinson alongside ex-Rovers trio Tim Ryan, Andy Warrington & Marc Albrighton. As well as the footballers, The Legends team we're also joined by a few actors in the form of Devon Anderson, MArcquelle Ward & Stephen Nicholas.

This Friday I'll be DJing at Coco Ice in Bawtry, starting at 10pm until around 2am. The music policy at Coco is fairly varied, due to the wide range of clients that it attracts.

Saturday 10th August
Saturday see's me at Bacchus in Retford; again, starting at 10pm until roughly 2am. Here I'll be playing the latest House, Dance & RnB, with some classics thrown in amongst those!

Sunday 11th August

Eve Merton Dreams Trust Charity Football Match

On the 11th August, I'll be at the Keepmoat Stadium supplying the pre-game and half-time music for a Charity Football Match that's taking place. A team of ex-Premiership Legends will be taking on a Doncaster Charity 11. It should be a good day out and is only a few quid to get in - if you're at a loose end and in Doncaster, why not pop down?

This is a tune that has fast become my most requested track, I'm even tempted to say it's already became as popular as "Levels" was... (before Flo-Rida had his wicked way with it!).

Visage Classics Mix

It was from visiting Visage as an 18 year old (maybe slightly younger) that really got me interested in music - mainly Dance music. If you started going out into Doncaster around 2000, then the chances are that you had a pretty similar experience!

Anyway, whilst taking about these days with a few friends, we started reminiscingabout the tunes from those days, this lead me to make the decision to knock up a mix. The initial idea was to make it CD length, but after going through all potential tunes, I soon found that I had about 8 hours worth! That 8 hours has now been reduced to a mix of 3 hours and 38 minutes. I've made the mix downloadable, so feel free to grab a copy.
